In FIRST STRONGHOLDSM,, two Alliances of three robots each are on a Quest to breach their opponents’ fortifications, weaken their tower with boulders, and capture the opposing tower. Robots score points by breaching opponents’ defenses and scoring boulders through goals in the opposing tower. During the final 20 seconds of the Quest, robots may surround and scale the opposing tower to capture it.
Getting to Florida Tech
From I-95 S
Take exit 180 for US-192 toward W Melbourne/Melbourne. Turn left at the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp. This will be US-192 E/W New Have Ave. After about 6 miles (7th light) turn right at S Babcock St. You will pass a small Florida Tech sign on the right side of the road when you reach the north end of the campus, followed by a larger one at W University Blvd (located at a light). Team busses should turn right on University Blvd, then a left at the first entrance to the Clemente Center parking lot. Vehicles carrying robots and tools should take the first right AFTER W University Blvd and enter the parking garage on your right. Spectators may park in the parking garage - the first floor is visitor parking. Robots and tools should continue through the garage entrance, past the pool and pull up behind the Clemente Center for unloading. Tool crates and robots may enter through these doors to directly access the pits. Once equipment has been dropped off, all team members should proceed to the front of the building until the doors are opened.

Dining Options
Teams are permitted to coordinate their own lunches. However, for those teams that are interested, lunch will be available on campus at the Panther Dining Hall, immediately adjacent to the Clemente Center. Panther Dining Hall offers an all-you-can-eat style dining option with great variety, and options for those with dietary restrictions. We have negotiated a group discount at a total of $8.50 (tentative) per person. Payment can be made as a group at the Panther Dining Hall entrance when the team arrives for lunch. Teams will be asked to provide an estimated attendance on the registration form for preparation purposes, but we understand that this number will fluctuate between the time of registration and the event.
